Programming an Anytone UV-878 for DMR Repeater (Front Panel)
Overview
This guide walks through manually programming a DMR repeater into the Anytone UV-878 using the radio keypad (no CPS software required).
You will need:
- Repeater Frequency (RX/TX)
- Color Code (CC)
- Time Slot (TS1 or TS2)
- Talkgroup ID
- Your DMR ID

Step 1: Create a Digital Channel
- Press the Menu button
- Go to: Channel → Add Channel
- Select an empty channel
Set the following:
- Channel Type: Digital
- Channel Name: (e.g. "DMR Local")
- RX Frequency: (Repeater output)
- TX Frequency: (Repeater input)
- Color Code: (provided by repeater)
- Time Slot: TS1 or TS2
Press Confirm/Save

Step 2: Add a Contact (Talkgroup)
- Menu → Contacts → Talkgroup
- Select Add
Enter:
- Contact Name: (e.g. "TG 3100")
- Call Type: Group Call
